After the final stage is completed, it is revealed to the player that the first playthrough of the game is a dream, and that to truly beat the game all stages must be completed again.

The unicorn appears as a boss in level one, and two unicorns are the bosses at the end of level two.
The dragon appears as a boss at the end of level three and four.
Satan appears as a boss at the end of level five, and two satans appear as bosses at the end of level six.
