Incident at Local General Store
Chaos erupted at the local general store when store owner, Pierre Brown, got into a physical altercation with Jojamart owner and competitor, Morris Fledge.
Witnesses say that the two individuals were in a verbal altercation about differences in product prices.
It was when Morris suggested that Pierre would soon be out of business because Jojamart has better prices that Pierre escaleted the altercation from verbal to physical.
The physical altercation lasted for several minutes before law enforcment was called and both parties were arrested and taken to jail.
Pierre has issued a public apology saying, "I deeply regret my actions towards Morris Fledge, owner of Jojamart.
My actions towards Morris Fledge were unacceptable and I sincerely apologize for any harm that I may have caused Mr.Fledge."
Mr. Fledge has not issued a statment.
Until both parties are released, both the general store and Jojamart will be operating on reduced hours.
Both the general store and Jojamart have asked customers to be patient with the temporary reduced hours and to be kind to one another.
